Abstract

This study was conducted to determine: (1) the costs, revenues, and income of organic rice farming in Panumbangan Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency; (2) the feasibility of organic rice farming in Panumbangan Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research design focused on a case study in Panumbangan Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency. The data collected included both primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used was the saturated sample formula, a method that includes the entire population as respondents. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The average total costs incurred by farmers in organic rice farming amounted to Rp. 13,742,928.41 per hectare for a single growing season. Meanwhile, the average revenue generated was Rp. 56,311,500 per hectare for a single growing season. Thus, the average income from organic rice farming was Rp. 42,568,571.59 per hectare for a single growing season. (2) The R/C ratio for organic rice farming in Panumbangan Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency, is 2.13. This means that every Rp. 1.00 spent generates Rp. 2.13 in revenue, so organic rice farmers earn a profit of Rp. 1.13. Therefore, organic rice farming is considered viable.
