HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN IBU MENYUSUI DENGAN USIA PENYAPIHAN DALAM PEMBERIAN ASI PADA BAYI DI BAWAH USIA 1 TAHUN DI WIALAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PANUMBANGAN

Abstract


Early weaning can affect the baby's growth. In Ciamis Regency, weaning is mostly done not on time, that is, the baby is less than 1 year old. In the working area of the Panumbangan Community Health Center, the highest data from breastfeeding mothers whose babies were weaned for less than 1 year was in Golat village, 48 babies (20.5%) out of 88 breastfeeding mothers and the lowest was in Kertaraharja village 32 babies (13.7%) out of 73 breastfeeding mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the educational level of breastfeeding mothers who wean babies under the age of 1 year in the working area of Panumbangan Health Center in Ciamis Regency. The research design used is the type of analytic study using a cross sectional study approach. The population in this study were breastfeeding mothers who had babies in the working area of Panumbangan Health Center as many as 82 people. Data collection uses primary data. The research instrument uses the check list sheet. The results showed that the level of education of breastfeeding mothers in the working area of Panumbangan Public Health Center in Ciamis Regency in 2012, respondents had 22 elementary schools (26.8%), 35 junior high school graduates (42.7%), 20 high school educators (24, 4%), and have a college education of 5 people (6.1%). The incidence of weaning in infants under the age of 1 year was 48 people (58.5%), and weaning> 1 year were 34 people (41.5%). Statistical test results show that there is a significant relationship between the level of education of breastfeeding mothers and weaning age in breastfeeding in the working area of Panumbangan Health Center in Ciamis District in 2012. The conclusion of this study is that the education level of breastfeeding mothers in the working area of Panumbangan Health Center in Ciamis Regency has 35 junior high school educators (42.7%), the incidence of weaning in infants under 1 year of age is 48 people (58.5%). There is a relationship between the level of education of breastfeeding mothers and the age of weaning in breastfeeding in the work area of the Panumbangan Health Center in Ciamis Regency. It is hoped that the results of this study will benefit breastfeeding mothers about breastfeeding.
