Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to the Editor of the Artifact Journal will be considered for inclusion if they meet the following criteria:

Scientific in nature, in the form of studies of Education and History study problems, original ideas, summaries of research/survey results, and book reviews that contribute to the development of religious studies and thinking.

The submitted manuscript has never been published in any publication or is not being requested for publication by other media.

The manuscript is written in Indonesian or a foreign language (English) that meets the rules of good and correct Indonesian/foreign writing.

Each manuscript is written sequentially consisting of a title, author's name (without title), institution & and institution address, email address, abstract, keywords, introduction, research methods, discussion, conclusion, and Bibliography;

The title must be concise and straightforward and include subheadings with a maximum of 15 syllables.

The author does not need to list academic degrees.

Abstracts are written in Indonesian and English. Abstract written between 250 - 300 words containing objectives, methods, and research results (if the manuscript is in the form of research results); and the background of the problem, discussion, and conclusion (if the manuscript is an article).

Keywords: Maximum five words that reflect the content of the manuscript.

The manuscript's content consists of 7000 - 9000 words or 20 - 25 pages of A4 size paper typed with double space if the manuscript is an article and 10 - 15 pages for manuscripts in the form of book reviews.

 

The manuscript must include a bibliography, provided that it uses the Harvard-APA Style as follows:

  1. The citation source stated in the scientific work must be in the Bibliography, and vice versa.
  2. The Bibliography is not divided into sections based on the library type, such as books, journals, the internet, etc.
  3. Written one space, in alphabetical order, without numbers based on the author's last name or responsible organization. If a reference does not have an author's name, the reference title is used to sort that reference among other references that remain sorted by the author's last name.
  4. If one person writes the literature, the author's name is first, followed by abbreviations (initials) of first name and middle name, followed by the year, title and other identities of the referenced literature/library.
  5. If the same author writes multiple works, sort them by publication date (from oldest to newest).
  6. If an author submits multiple works in the same publication year, they are sorted by lowercase letters accompanying the publication date (e.g., 1988a, 1988b, 1988c, etc.).
  7. The publication date is written after the author's name(s).
  8. The title of the reference is written in italics; if the Bibliography is handwritten, then the title is underlined.

The manuscript is typed in the Microsoft Word program according to the Article Template and sent through Submissions.

The published manuscript undergoes an editing process without changing the substance.

Manuscripts that go to the newsroom are categorized as follows:

  1. Accepted without revision;
  2. Accepted with revisions;
  3. Rejected.

Manuscripts that are not published will be notified to the author via email.

The manuscript published will be given proof of publication in the Artifact Journal and of the print of 1 copy each.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish this journal agree to the following conditions:

  1. The author retains copyright and grants the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0), which allows others to share the work with recognition of authorship of the work and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of published versions of journal works (e.g., posting to an institutional repository or publishing them in a book), with recognition of early publication in these journals.

With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.

Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.
