PENGARUH LATIHAN BOX JUMP DAN NAIK TURUN TANGGA TERHADAP POWER OTOT TUNGKAI

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effect of box jump and stair climbing exercises on leg muscle power improvement. The method used is an experiment with a Two Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study is extracurricular sports participants at MTS Al-Aziz, with a sample size of 33 people determined through purposive sampling. The instrument used to measure lower limb muscle power was the vertical jump test. The results of the hypothesis test showed that box jump training had a significant effect on improving lower limb muscle power with a t-value of -15.209, df = 32, and significance of 0.000. Stair climbing exercise also showed a significant effect with a t-value of -1.209, df = 32, and significance of 0.000. Meanwhile, the third hypothesis test showed a significant difference between the two types of exercises on lower limb muscle power with a significance of 0.000. This study concluded that both types of exercises are effective but have different effects. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan box jump dan naik turun tangga terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain Two Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta ekstrakurikuler olahraga di MTS Al-Aziz, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 33 orang yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur power otot tungkai adalah tes vertical jump. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa latihan box jump memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan power otot tungkai dengan nilai t sebesar -15.209, df = 32 dan signifikansi 0.000. Latihan naik turun tangga juga menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dengan nilai t sebesar -1.209, df = 32 dan signifikansi 0.000. Sementara itu, uji hipotesis ketiga menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua jenis latihan tersebut terhadap power otot tungkai dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kedua jenis latihan efektif, namun memiliki pengaruh yang berbeda.
