Menghidupkan Kembali Tradisi Maritim Lokal dalam Pendidikan Sejarah: Sedekah Laut Cilacap sebagai Memori Kolektif, Historical Consciousness, dan Pedagogi Heritage

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi posisi tradisi Sedekah Laut Cilacap dalam pendidikan sejarah melalui pendekatan kritis berbasis historical consciousness, heritage education, dan constructivist history learning. Berbeda dari kajian sebelumnya yang cenderung memosisikan tradisi lokal sebagai instrumen pelestarian budaya atau penguatan karakter, artikel ini menempatkan Sedekah Laut sebagai living historical text dan arena produksi memori kolektif yang memiliki dimensi epistemologis, pedagogis, dan politis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan integrative literature review dengan menelaah publikasi ilmiah mengenai tradisi lokal, pendidikan sejarah, historical thinking, heritage education, dan collective memory. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Sedekah Laut Cilacap mengandung narasi historis mengenai relasi masyarakat pesisir dengan kekuasaan, alam, spiritualitas, dan identitas budaya yang terus dinegosiasikan dalam ruang sosial kontemporer. Tradisi ini tidak hanya mereproduksi solidaritas sosial dan nilai budaya, tetapi berfungsi sebagai medium transmisi memori kolektif serta ruang reproduksi identitas masyarakat pesisir. Dalam konteks pendidikan sejarah, Sedekah Laut Cilacap berpotensi mentransformasi pembelajaran dari pola transmisif menuju pembelajaran reflektif, dialogis, dan berbasis pengalaman budaya peserta didik. Integrasi tradisi lokal dalam pembelajaran sejarah memungkinkan siswa mengembangkan kemampuan historical thinking, historical empathy, dan historical consciousness melalui interpretasi kritis terhadap simbol, ritus, dan praktik budaya komunitasnya sendiri. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa tradisi lokal perlu diposisikan bukan sekadar sebagai objek folkloris, melainkan sebagai sumber pengetahuan historis alternatif yang dapat mendekolonisasi narasi sejarah sekolah yang selama ini terlalu berorientasi pada sejarah nasional-politik.
