Pengembangan Literasi Berbasis Sosial Emosional (SEL) kepada Guru-guru SMK Swasta Cinta Rakyat Pematangsiantar

Abstract


Pengembangan literasi dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi literasi berbasis kompetensi sosial – emosional (Social – Emotional Learning/SEL) telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23-24 September 2025 di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK Swasta Cinta Rakyat Pematangsiantar). Jumlah total peserta kegiatan adalah 30 orang guru dari berbagai bidang studi seperti: Bidang Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Indonesia, Agama, Sejarah, IPS, Teknik Elektro, Teknik Mesin, Teknik Bangunan dan Teknik Rekayasa Komputer. Kegiatan ini merupakan implementasi dari Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) antara Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar dan SMK Swasta Cinta Rakyat. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah sosialisasi, pendampingan dan pemberdayaan. Narasumber terdiri dari empat dosen lintas bidang ilmu dengan standard kompetensi dosen Profesional dan Jabatan Fungsional Lektor Kepala. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman terhadap literasi berbasis SEL, kemampuan mengelola kelas secara sosial emosional serta  mendorong kompetensi interdisipliner kepada para guru sehingga kesiapan strategi pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan kompetensi sosial-emosional siswa. Tujuan studi ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan kapasitas guru dalam penerapan literasi dan SEL di sekolah menengah kejuruan dan memberikan gambaran strategi faktor SEL dalam pengembangan karakter peserta didik.
