Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Pembentukan Klaster Agroindustri Nanas di Desa Bikang Kabupaten Bangka Selatan

Abstract

The industrial sector has been prioritized as a key driver of development and is expected to serve as a leading sector for the advancement of other sectors. Pineapple (Ananas comosus L. Merr.) cultivated in Bikang Village, represents one of the leading horticultural commodities with significant potential to support the development of an agro-industrial cluster. The community of Bikang Village has established home-scale industries producing pineapple jam, pineapple chips, and candied pineapple. However, the existing industries remain small-scale, and a comprehensive development approach is required to enhance economic growth and ensure industrial stability. The establishment and development of an industrial cluster area require synergy among pentahelix actors, who are considered capable of advancing both general industrial cluster development and the specific development plan for the pineapple agro-industrial cluster in Bikang Village. This study aims to obtain a precise interpretation of community perceptions and to formulate an effective and sustainable pineapple agro-industrial cluster development model using the pentahelix approach in Bikang Village. A simple random sampling technique was employed, involving 95 respondents. Data were analyzed using a Likert scale and NVivo 15 software. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents agree with the establishment and development of the pineapple agro-industrial cluster. The proposed agro-industrial cluster model positions synergy among government, academia, business actors, the community, and the media as the primary foundation for development.
