KONTRIBUSI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (PAI) DALAM MEMBANGUN KARAKTER SOSIO-HUMANIORA DI ERA GLOBALISASI

Abstract

The era of globalization brings complex impacts on the character of the younger generation, including the erosion of social and humanities values. This paper aims to analyze the contribution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in building socio-humanistic character amidst the challenges of globalization. The research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that PAI contributes significantly through the internalization of noble moral values, such as empathy, tolerance, honesty, and social responsibility. These values, derived from the Qur'an and Hadith, form the foundation for shaping individuals who are not only spiritually intelligent but also possess high concern and a sense of humanity in diverse societal life. Thus, PAI serves as a moral fortress and an essential agent of social transformation for creating superior human beings who are able to compete globally without losing their human identity
