PROBLEMATIKA LITERASI STATISTIK BERDASARKAN TINGKAT ADVERSITY QUOTIENT (AQ) PADA PESERTA DIDIK

Abstract


Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan literasi statistik dalam perspektif Adversity Quotient (AQ) pada peserta didik. LLiterasi statistic adalah suatu kemampuan yang diperlukan oleh setiap individu untuk dapat memahami informasi secara tepat, dengan kemampuan literasi statistic yang baik, peserta didik akan dapat menyelesaikan masalah yang sederhana maupun kompleks berdasarkan fakta dari informasi yang ada sehingga tidak mudah terbawa opini. Sementara itu, Adversity Quotient mewakili kemampuan seorang individu dalam upaya merespon dan mengatasi rintangan. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif terhadap subjek penelitian yang berjumlah 36 peserta didik yang berada  di kelas VII I di SMP Negeri 2 Mandiraja. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket Adversity Response Profile (ARP), tes tertulis mengenai kemampuan literasi matematis, dan hasil wawancara subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik tipe climber memiliki kemampuan literasi statistik yang lebih unggul dibandingkan peserta didik tipe camper dan quitter. Tipe climber unggul dalam orientasi dan interpretasi data, serta dapat menjalankan proses literasi statistik secara sistematis. Sementara itu, tipe camper menunjukkan kemampuan baik dalam orientasi dan pemrosesan data, namun tipe quitter memiliki kemampuan literasi statistik yang rendah, ditandai dengan kesulitan dalam memahami informasi dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah. Peneliti menyarankan agar studi lebih lanjut dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi media pembelajaran yang dapat menunjang proses pembelajaran bagi peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi statistik berdasarkantingkat adversity quotient.Kata Kunci: 1 Literasi Statistik; 2 Adversity Quotient
