Author Guidelines

  1. Journal of English Education Program (JEEP) accepts research-based articles which have not been published or are under consideration elsewhere.
  2. To be considered for publication, manuscripts should be typed in English in single space, using MS Word doc. format, 12 size Times New Roman fonts, 10-15 pages in length, top and left margin 3 cm, bottom and right margin 2.54 cm, printed in A4.
  3. Articles will be reviewed by subject reviewers, while the editors reserve the right to edit articles for format consistency without altering the substance.
  4. Articles are to be written in essay style with a subheading for each part. The subheading system is as follows:

 LEVEL ONE : ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTIFICATION

 Level Two : Capitals-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification (If Any)

  Level Three : Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification (If Any) 

5. Articles should contain: (a) Title; (b) Full name of contributor(s) without title(s); (c) Abstract (max. 250 words); (d) Keywords (three to five keywords); (e) Introduction which includes review of related literature and research purpose; (f) Method; (g) Findings and Discussion; (h) Conclusions and Suggestions; (i) References; and (j) Appendix, if any.

6. The title should be less than 15 words, capitalized, centered, with font size 14.

7. The abstract must contain the importance of the topic, the gap between theory and practice or between reality and expectation, or lacks of studies, objectives of the present study, method, findings, and conclusion.

8.The introduction must consist of the background of the study, research contexts, literature review, and research objectives. It should be presented in the forms of paragraphs, not pointers, with the proportion of 15-20% of the whole article length.

9. The method section should consist of  description concerning the  research design, data sources, data collection, participants (if any), and data analysis with the proportion of  10-15% of the total article length, all presented in the form of paragraphs.

10. The findings and discussion section must consist of description of the results of the data analysis to answer the research question(s) and their meanings seen from current theories and references of the area addressed. The proportion of  this section is 40-60% of the total article length.

11. The conclusion section must consists of the summary, restatement of  the main findings.

12. Use only horizontal lines when using tables. Put the table number and the title of the table on top of it.

13. Every source cited in the body of the article should appear in the reference, and all sources appearing in the reference should be cited in the body of the article.

14. The sources cited should at least 80% come from those published in the last 10 years. The sources cited are primary sources in the forms of journal articles, books, and research reports, including theses and dissertations. Citations from journal should be at least 80% of the total references cited.

15. The references should be presented alphabetically and chronologically, and be written in accordance with the APA style (6th edition), for example:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

(1) Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Lisensi Creative Commons Atribusi-BerbagiSerupa 4.0 Internasional that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

(2) Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

(3) Authors should sign copyright transfer agreement when they have approved the final proofs sent by JEEP prior the publication

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
JEEP does not charge any processing fees for every articles submitted.

Article Publication: 150000.00 (IDR)
If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
